This car is awesome!!! I got it brand new in 2000 and it's still running strong (130,000 miles)!! The car has survived Chicago's pot holes, being hit by a school bus and horrible maintenance. I travel about 80-100 miles Monday-Friday with light weekend drives close to home. The gas mileage rocks!! My repairs to date includes: replacing a head gasket; replacing a water pump, two major brake jobs and two sets of tires. Other than maintenance (when I remember)I had nothing else done to this car. It does burn oil quickly and idles high at times but that could be my fault. I can't speak more favorably of "Pedro", I love my Saturn. I will be getting the transmission and radiator flushed soon... hopefully. I will hold on to this car forever even after I buy my next Saturn...The VUE XR Source: eBay Motors Reviews |

WELL I BOUGHT THIS CAR ORIGINALLY TO GIVE TO MY DAUGHTER, BUT MY WIFE SEEN IT AND TOOK TO IT. SO I WENT AHEAD AND DID AN INSPECTION ON THE ENGINE TO PREPARE IT FOR HER. THE VEHICLE WAS QUITE NICE COSMETICALLY, BUT THERE WERE ISSUES THAT I FELT AND WAS INFORMED OF BY THE SELLER. TO MAKE IT HOME, AND GET THE VEHICLE TO RUN OVER 50 I HAD TO CUT OFF THE AIR CONDITION THAT WAS TAKING ABOUT 20 HP ITSELF. THE CAR WAS SKIPPING BUT NEVER ACTED AS TO STALL. ON THE WAY TO THE HOUSE I STOPPED AT AN AUTO PARTS STORE AND PURCHASED 4 NEW PLUGS. ONCE I GOT HOME I INSTALLED THEM AND THE MAJORITY OF THE SKIPPING WENT AWAY. ONE THING I DID NOTATE NO. 3 SPARK PLUG HAD A LOT OF BURNT OIL THAT HAD BUILT OVER TIME, NOT TO MENTION FOWLED OUT. A FEW DAYS LATER I CHANGED THE OIL AND NOTICED A LIGHT TAPPING THAT CAME AND WENT. USING A MECHANICAL STETHOSCOPE, I LEARNED IT WAS CUMMING FROM THE NO. 3 EXHAUST VALVE. SO I PULLED THE VALVE COVER TO NOTICED THAT VALVE LIFTER WAS STICKING. I REPLACED IT WITH A NEW ONE AND ALL CHATTERING CEASED. I CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER, AND THE LIGHT SLIPPING IT HAD CLEARED. NOW MY WIFE IS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND LOVES IT. THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS CAR IS A NO BRAINER FUEL. THE WORST IM 6'1" I BELIVE THE CAR WAS BUILT FOR NO ONE OVER 5'8". I FEEL CRAMPED. OUTSIDE OF THAT ITS PERFECT, NOW. Source: eBay Motors Reviews |
