Most popular Oldsmobile Silhouette for sale

We were looking for 2 mini-vans; a seven and eight passenger, or two 8-seat vans. The GM Chevy Venture, Pontiac Montana, or Olds Silhoutte were in our sights. This very clean Silhoutte had four captains and a split bench with 3 seat belts. The leather seats were remarkably clean; only the driver's seat showed wear. Everything that we tried to use has worked thus far except the stereo system controls built into the steering wheel. We will take it to a GM dealer to show us how to unlock those controls.
The seller went out of his way to provide 100% satisfaction before I left his business. he asked why I would come half away accross the United States to buy a car I had never seen from a man I did not know. My answer is his 100% rating as a seller on eBay. If I could give him a rating above 100% I would award him the "Second Miler Award" and post a 110% rating to his account! He gave me confidence that what I was buying from him was everything he said it was going to be and then some.
I started out from the Little Rock, Arkansas area shortly before dusk and drove thru the night into the following afternoon without a single mechanical problem, with a very comfortable ride, though a very long, lonely ride. I slept soundly in a laid back captains seat in the middle section for a little over 2 1/2 hours between 1 and 3:30 AM at a Mississippi roadside truck stop. I slept so well that it took two alarms to wake me to continue my trip so that I would arrive back in Greenville, South Carolina in time for a late afternoon Fire Commissioners' Meeting. All went well and I really surprised at the 28.6 MPG that I was geting from a luxury mini-van while running air conditioning on rolling hills thru Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.
With that kind of price-performance I am ready to find another Silhoutte for my other daughter's family. This one must be an 8-passenger with individual seats behing the driver.

I bought the car on eBay as I was Winning bidder. Owner told me he had someone offer more after the Auction. I went to pick it up the next day with the money. Just before I go he emails telling me his wife took it for a ride hit something and cracked the oil pan the car cannot be driven and it is stuck in front of his house. I believed him and canceled the Auction. The following day I had to pick someone up at the Airport which was 5 minutes from his house. I went by his house and Van was gone. Two weeks later I see another Van on eBay, same story about how the title was not in his name and he was helping his brother sell it. This is the type of guy that gives eBay a bad name. I wish they would pull him off of eBay. He used me to sell the vehicle for more money.
He puts the Vehicles on eBay and Craigslist at the same time, selling to who every gives the most money not who Won the Auction.

I have read all the reviews and everyone seems to love this car. Be cautious, as someone tried to spoof me out of my hard-earned $ buy requesting a MoneyGram, which is not allowed by Ebay, (bank transfers either) and asked me to send it to a phony Ebay Representative at a phony eBay e-mail address (ebay@ebay.suport.com). eBay Security told me that there have been several of these phony transactions, so check-out with eBay anything that seems to be shady. I doubt the 2002 Olds Silhouette that I bid on 12/24/08, and "won," even existed. Likely the pictures were copied from another site, which is easy to accomplish. Just BEWARE before you transfer money, and FIRST confirm with eBay that the transaction is not illegal. That is what saved my $3,050, ouch that would have hurt!!!
