This car is one of the greatest front wheel drive cars out there. Flawless integration of performance and style with all the amenities of a European or Japanese luxury car. The 4.0 liter V-8 provides more than enough power for a quick get up and go when in a hurry, or just when showing off. The transmission delivers the power from the engine to the wheels without any hesitation, or pull. The traction control system helps you keep all the power the car has to offer on the road. The exhaust note is quiet, and would be better if just a little louder, but one can't have everything. If General Motors hadn't made the mistake of discontinuing the Oldsmobile line-up, one could wait to see what the third generation Aurora has to offer, but since this isn't going to happen anytime soon, a used one is better than none. 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora: expensive very poor designed engine runs too warm in town, leaks iol like crazy from the bottom of the engine not real bad on gas, a dream to drive. i have two of these cars ,a 1996 and a 1998 would not buy again. however the 98 is a better car . Source: eBay Motors Reviews |

This is a wonderful vehicle. It is very comfortable and preforms superbly. The only complaints I have since purchasing mine are that it runs into handful of engine problems after a few years (Fuel pump, fuel injectors and EGR valve go). I has wonderful handling around tight corners. The interior holds together very well (I have had no problems with anything breaking). Also, if you are a do-it-yourselfer I don't recommend working on this engine. Repairs are very hard to do yourself due to the placement of engine components. All being considered, I really enjoy owning this vehicle and it is definitely worth the purchase. Then to add on one trivia fact for anyone who is interested the 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora was the sprint car for the 1997 Indy 500 (so yes it could be considered a collectors).
I hope this review helps anyone interested in buying or selling this vehicle. Source: eBay Motors Reviews |
