Ok... I honestly don't know if I would even call this a Jeep. Granted, it does have the slotted grill, but that so does the Hummer. I would say that if the designers were trying to play off of the popularity of the XJ Cherokee, they completely missed the appeal. I personally hate this vehicle, it looks like someone started putting air in a tire of a Cherokee and didn't stop until it was a blown-up, misshapen BEAST of a vehicle, but I will try to be fair in this. For a higher priced Jeep?! it does have a lot of the luxorious items that should be expected, the fit and trim on the interior is nice as well as the comfortable ride ON-road. Where it misses target for true Jeep fans, is the need to have a vehicle capable of taking down a trail. Granted, if I spent that much money on one, I would be kind of hesitant to try, defeating the purpose wouldn't you say? Off road driveability is not there, even with all the glass, you really can't see anything! And this thing is HUGE! Putting a HEMI in one, is a waste, I think they are trying to play off the engine's name to sell the wrapping. Can't really say too much about the reliability issue, for me, you can't judge that on a Jeep until you are over 150K on the odometer, and these are still relatively new. I will say that it IS a comfortable vehicle, nice and plush, but for this money, would rather save some heartache and get an Expedition that would do the same and drive better. Qualtity, well, I can see some of the Daimler cues on this, but would have to say average on the grand scheme. Overall, not a vehicle that I would waste my time with. I am an avid Jeep fan, but would have to say that the guys an gals at Jeep dropped the ball on this one. If the trend of Jeep is to put out vehicles like this, the Compass and the Patriot.... do us all a favor Daimler, sell the Jeep line off to Ford or (GULP) General Motors, who may actually give a crap about HISTORY!
