Ok, I have two of these monsters. A 2004 and 2002. The 2002 has the 7.3 Diesel which the only problem was a Cam Sensor at 100K miles. Its ready for new brakes at 105K. I think the 02 is better quality than my 04. I have had them all including Suburbans. If you are looking for an all around tow, 4x4, family vehicle you CAN'T beat the Excursion. I have a 2001 excursion with a 7.3 powerstroke. I love the truck, it has more than enough power to pull whatever you need, and enough room inside to haul all your gear, luggage or a small army. It has been a dependable truck, except i had to replace the transmission at about 154,000 miles and the brakes can get hot. I would suggest getting drilled and slotted rotors to remedy that problem. Overall i would highly recommend owning an excursion Source: eBay Motors Reviews |

I needed the most room and power in a SUV and when pulling my mud racer to races, I also needed the room for all the equipment and tools. Source: eBay Motors Reviews |
