These cars are the only full frame solid rear wheel drive cars left out there. They are tough and can take some serious abuse. They are cheap to fix and last 300000-500000 miles. Crown vics are the best bang for the buck. 2003 is a new car from 2002. They handle and ride superior to the 2002 year down. 2003 have updated suspention and steering from the older years and are very comfortable on long drives. They could have more power, but hey you cant have it all. Source: eBay Motors Reviews |

I have the P71 Police Interceptor model. It has different front suspension than prior years, it completely redesigned. The car is quick and handles like a champ. The LCM has some issues at times, I just unplugged the battery for a while and it reset. The only thing I'd like to Ford do is push the HorsePower up to match the Dodge Charger Police version. Ford has 239hp to 2005 the in 2006 it was increased to 250hp, while the Charger has 350hp right from the start and only costs slightly more than the Ford. Source: eBay Motors Reviews |

The Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (P71) is "the" accepted police interceptor among most police departments and with good reason. They are tough, dependable, and fairly fast. Until a car company (like the planned Carbon Motors) comes along and builds a "ground-up" designed and dedicated emergency service vehicle, I suspect the Ford C/V will remain King. For more information on this fine car visit www.crownvic.net for first hand information form actual C/V owners. If you can get a detective or a D.A.R.E. vehicle rather that a patrol unit, then all the better. If you can keep your foot "out of it" you will even get fairly good MPGs. Buy one!!!
