I'll start with the so called buyer protection first.It is a complete waste of time.Over $1,000.00 worth of repairs needed,4X4 SYSTEM NOT COVERED.Estimates from a shop AND Dealer.This adds up to a calculated way to do absolutely nothing for the buyer.
Vehicle represented as having no issues.
1.4x4 system had broken wireing, diagnosis and repair=$314.58.
2 Cooling systen issues.
3. AC system has a leak.

I have owned 2 Bronco2 & am currently bidding on a third. Why? They are that good. My daily driver for 21 years has been the Eddie Bauer edition B2. The only repairs other than batteries, plugs,filters etc. have been 1 water pump & a heater fan motor...oh yeah both window motors. The 2.9 Efi engine is a good design if you watch your engine temperature...get it too hot and you will warp a head, guaranteed...Ford redesigned the heads in 1988 and solved the problem. Unfortunately the engines reputation was ruined with the general public. Same thing with the auto transmissions, good strong designs but you have to service them faithfully or they will fail. If you use the bronco 2 to pull a trailer I would advise you to add a transmission oil cooler and a cooled remote dual oil filter...heat is the biggest killer of any engine or transmission. The Bronco 2 is not a sports car & will turn over if driven like a Porsche don't & it won't!
Now for the fun part they pull like a mule in mud or any off road situation...I have pulled many Jeeps (I've owned 2 Jeeps) out of the same trouble I just went through & you can buy a good used Bronco 2 for a third of what they ask for a used Jeep...and if you roll the windows up you stay dry! I'm shopping for a Bronco2 to create a rock crawler.
Guess you can tell I like the B2! I'm a welder by trade and 60 years of age, my kids say I only like old things, but I tell them I like new things just fine...when they get old! Enjoy your search

This was a perfect buy to tow behind my Coach to Alaska. I did not want to tow my new Hummer H3 that I normally tow do to the roads in Alaska.

Cost me $560 runs and looks great (to me, wife is a little embarrassed) but it brings back my youth.
