We have a 2006 Road Trek Adventurous Class B 22' motor home on the Mercedes/Dodge chassis. I love the 21.1 MPG; handles like a van, not a bulky class C or A. Park in any lot. Solid construction throughout. It has won many admiring glances. There's a 3yr/36,000 mile warranty on the basics and a 5yr/100,000 mile warranty on the diesel, change oil every 10,000 miles (although it's expensive each time since it takes 9.5 quarts); has good pickup; remains reasonably stable in wind. We bought it used, but at approx. $12,000 under book value, primarily due to minor problems that were easily solved. It seats 7, so can easily serve as a second car. On toll roads one only pays a passenger car toll. At 25,000 miles the tires have more than half their tread left. The diesel does make a little noise at idle, but the cabin is reasonably quiet when traveling. We have owned Class A and Class C motor homes as well as full sized vans, and this Class B is no more noisy than any of those. It does take a little-getting-used-to German/Euro icons and switches. And one needs to see a Dodge Sprinter dealer for parts since they're not readily available elsewhere. Example: after visiting 6 auto parts dealers in my area for a particular fuse, I could only get it from a Dodge Sprinter dealer 45 minutes away. A local Dodge dealer could not help since he was not a Sprinter dealer and therefore didn't stock Sprinter parts. Source: eBay Motors Reviews |

the 2004 dodge/mercedes sprinter is by far the best cargo van i've ever owned and i've owned quite a few. ie; 3-ford 150's & 2-250's econolines and a dodge 150 and i've rented the newer chevy's (gas hogs!) there's no comparison for fuel consumption to any american made vehicle in this class i know of. the dodge 2002 was the closest with a 6 clylinder v6 at around 16 mpg compared to 25mpg+ for the sprinter. they don't call it the sprinter for nothing... take one for a test drive and see what they can do when you put the pedal to the metal! i'm not getting any younger and i never really liked bending over in a standard american made van. i can stand up in the sprinter with the standard height (i'm 5'-6"). it hasn't cost much for maintenance except new tires once, brake pads once and an oil change every 12,000 miles. really good heat and ac, a cd player/am/fm radio, power windows and door locks, heated power mirrors and traction control.. what more could i ask for in a work vehicle? oh yea, it has an unbelievable turning radius and it's a pleasure to drive. cons... the sticker shock which isn't so bad at all if you add up the cost of maintaining a chevy or ford and the fuel costs for running around in one of them! i have to say that after owning the sprinter i can't imagine going back to what i've owned previously... ever. i've been spoiled! andrejs briedis Source: eBay Motors Reviews |

My brother picked it up for me in Pittsburg and drove it back to chicago and got over 20 mpg driving 79 mph. Keep in mind this is a tall long wheel base dually rated to tow 5000 lbs. it has all the torque in the world and gets off the line much better than you would expect. This is all mercedes benz except in badging. it is a best kept secret. I don't know why anyone would buy any other full size van it rides great I would think the short height/wheelbase version would be good for 25 mpg wit 10 person capacity and still room for cargo. I am and have been a dyed in the wool ford guy (03 cobra convertible with 540 hp at the wheels and a crew cab f150) this is not really a chrysler product and I'm not sure how much longer they will sell them here get one while you can !!!
