This little car is great for gas mileage, versatility, and practicly. With plenty of room for four (five possible, but not recomended), this car runs well, handles great, and breaks quickly too. The interior styling is more modern than other cars of this time period and the SPORT model offers leather trim and seating. The SX model is the version of the car that I own. It has power windows, locks, and a radio/CD/cassette player that is easy to operate. Although it looks small from the outside, the car has thinner walls so it actually feels bigger than you'd expect on the inside. As far as reliability goes, I have never had any problems. The only downside to the car is that parts are harder to find because there are no longer dealerships. However, there are several parts stores online that carry all of the parts for the Daewoo Lanos. From my tests, my car has got 30mpg city and 35mpg highway on average, so overall, I would definately recomend it!

With regular scheduled maintenance, the Daewoo Lanos (distributed by Daewoo, S. Korea, to the US from 1998-2002) performs very well. It is very economical, my mpg ranges anywhere from 30-40 mpg. With rising gas prices, any Daewoo model is highly recommended (Lanos, Nubira, or Leganza). Even though Daewoo doesn't distribute their vehicles by their own anymore, GM has taken them over and Daewoo currently makes the Chevrolet Aveo and some Suzuki models. This is my 2nd Daewoo Lanos Hatchback car and I love them. They have been very reliable and get great gas mileage. My last one I sold with 138,000 miles on it and purchased this one to replace that and I really love it.
