I have owned my LHS for over 6 years. It currently has 96,000.0 Mi and has needed nothing but basic maintenance. One set of brakes at 80,000mi, one set of tires at 55,000, new cam drive belt at 80,000, oil changes every 4,000 mi with Mobil 1, New shocks at 96,000mi (The originals were still fine. I just always replace at close to 100,000mi) I am going to replace the original battery just because. It still works fine. I have traveled as far as 1067mi in one day with it. It is very comfortable. The interior is still like new. The paint hasn't faded at all. It is the best car I have ever owned and yes I have owned Toyota, Honda, Mazda, and Nissan as well as the other Domestics.

1997 Chrysler LHS: Best Car I've Ever Owned

I have owned my 1997 LHS for ten of its twelve years of life so far. This is the best car I have ever owned. It now has almost 130,000 miles on it and is going strong. My husband and I purchased it in 1999 to replace our tired but wonderful 1989 New Yorker. At that time, I had a hard time parting with the New Yorker, but was quickly taken by the comfort, style, and handling of the LHS. Nevertheless, this car was going to have to prove itself to win my heart--and prove itself it has! This car has been very, very reliable. Other than normal maintenance, it has needed very little. It is very comfortable and roomy, even in the back seat when the driver's seat is fully extended (my husband is 6-foot-two). The trunk has just about as much room as many of the short-bed trucks out there, yet the car itself is very sleek and stylish, not boxy. I would recommend this model to anyone looking for a reliable, wonderful second-hand car. I will cry when it finally runs out of life--it has been that fine of a car!

Excellent car. Very reliable and comfortable. Never had any mechanical issues. Power when you need it, otherwise a smooth ride. There is one thing that bothers me about this car. It does not handle that well in snow. Im sure a couple of sand bags and studded snow tires would take care of it, though.
