2005 Chevrolet Cobalt: My Review for the LT Sedan
This car is a very good car. I got the LT model in black. In 2005, that model came with chrome trim, door handles, and muffler. It also came with a spoiler, 6 speaker pioneer sound system, and option of XM radio or side air bags. I went with the air bags.
All in all, I have loved the car. It gets good gas mileage (around 26 miles per gallon on average). The sound system is really nice, the heated leather seats are enjoyable, and there is plenty of room. I have heard, however, from my passengers who sit in the back seat that there isn't much head room. It has enough power under the hood for my needs (much better than the Geo I owned before).
I have only had one problem with it...the interior is a little cheap. Only a few months after I purchased it, the leather upholstery started coming away from the arm rests. I went back to my dealership about the problem, and they said GM was going to come out with a fix for it, but that never went through. I wrote a letter to GM about the issue, and they said that my dealership needed to deal with it. They did, however, give me a free oil change for the trouble. The problem has still not been fixed, but the car is still under warranty, so I am sure they will fix it when they get around to it.
Other than that, the car has been great. It looks great, drives good, and it is a very comfortable ride.
