We should have known the kind of person we were dealing with when on 3/23 we asked to see the car prior to purchase, he told us that he was out of town until the auction was over. We knew we had paid top dollar and maybe even a bit more. But when we went to pick it up, we saw the condition was not as good as the description. We had said that we had to get a PA state inspection and he had said if it needed anything he would pay for it. We believed him. It needed small lights and a headlight and the brackets where the battery is kept were rusted off and we replaced that. We also told him on 2 different occasions that we felt we had paid more than $1000.00 too much! He kept saying that he would take care of us. On Apr-04-09 He wrote this: I guess I misunderstood you. I thought you wanted more than amount you said. No problem.I'll put money in your paypal account as soon as see you've left me feedback like you said you would. I'm easy to deal with." He indicated more than once that he would deposit the money in our PayPal account. We believed him. We were never out of line in our emails and felt that we never asked too much of him, yet before he gave us the money owed he somewhat bullied us into a good feedback response. The last email from him on 4/4 was rude and ignorant and belittles us quite a bit. He wrote this: "I'm sorry but AS I TOLD YOU IN THE VERY BEGINNING-I WOULD TAKE CARE OF THINGS -NOW I SEE YOU HAVEN'T ONCE AGAIN LEFT FEEDBACK AND YOU HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THROUGH WITH YOUR FIRST MESSAGE. This is my last message to you-you may be pleasantly surprised by carrying through instead of having me starting to question doing what I had in mind AND YOUR MOTIVES. TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS SO I CAN-MONEY WILL BE SENT TO YOUR PAYPAL. THIS IS BECOMING CHILDISH-Even then he said he would deposit the money into our PayPal account. We are an older couple that was taken advantage of. Having recently had a heart attack, we don't need this grief. We tried to do the right thing and since we won the bid on the car we took the car. Now the the Air conditioner doesn't work and he told us that it did. And wipers do not work either! All it took was 1 day to realize that we had paid too much and we told him that. He always indicated he would send money back to our account. We want the refund that he promised and the money that we paid to fix the car for the state inspection that he promised to pay. We have a clain with paypal for the deposit of $200.00, because that was the only thing we could get back. We are waiting to hear. I guess this is a buyer beware. We trusted this person to do what he had said and got burned. His word isn't good.
