2007 Chevrolet Avalanche: 2007 Avalanche, I love it I have the LT3 4WD and have yet to be disappointed. The new body style is classy. It handles like a car, very smooth and quiet. Very nice and roomy inside. The gas mileage has improved since the earlier years, I'm averaging 19mpg with combined city/highway driving but live in the Rockies, so I've got lots of hills to deal with. I also love the fact that they've improved the safety features (stabilitrac, side airbags, etc). I don't have the entertainment package (DVD player), but, in the backseat, the passengers can control their stereo in the back and listen through headphones to another station. There are just so many new and exciting features. I love this truck!!! Source: eBay Motors Reviews |
2003 Chevrolet Avalanche: My Truck 03 Avalanche Good Bad and the Ugly, most good I bought this truck brand new. It was the first one I saw without all of the Ugly plastic stuff on the sides. There is lots of room in the front and the back is decent for most but can be a little small if the person in front of you has their seat moved all the way back. The midgate is nice if you move or are moving something but honestly I have used it twice since I purchased it. The 16 inch rims that came with it were gone very quickly, replaced with 20's which look much better. I got the biggest tire possible that would fit in the wheel well which makes it sit high natural and look tough. Dual exhaust gives your Avalanche a nice roar. K&N filter and Hypertech programmer are also nice to have. I love this truck and will keep it until the wheels fall off. As I am approaching 50,000 miles I have had no big problems with it at all.
Now the cons which are petty and few but none the less problems. The plastic moldings in the interior can come loose. Both my front driver and passenger door lock and window panel are loose. The dash was loose. but thats it. The only other knock would be that the plastic pieces that cover the bed are not water proof. They will keep out the majority of the water but it will still get in. Gas mileage is another point to worry about if you are inclined. I drive like a madman so I am not a good example but even when I dont its leaves a lot to be desired in this department. It does have a huge gas tank 30 + gallons so you can go a long way without filling up.
All in all it is a great truck and I drive it just about everyday with no worries at all. Source: eBay Motors Reviews |

I have wanted this truck for years. I would go to auto shows every year and daydream. Now that I have it, I love it! It is everything that I imagined and more...backing camera, 20" rims, major hauling capacity, etc. Source: eBay Motors Reviews |
